I was nine years old when I bought my first treasure—a vintage ceramic swan. I found it at a yard sale, paid with my own money, and gave it to my mother. I didn’t know that day , but that swan started everything. I had a curiosity about what it was  , where it came from, and how it was made.

That one question led to another—Hours looking at books on

antique at the library, hours spent at antique malls, and long conversations with old-timers who knew the stories behind the things they owned. I started learning to see the beauty in the pieces, the value in craftsmanship, and the history in every object. 

I grew up in what you'd call “American Pickers land,” surrounded by barns, small-town auctions, and weekend treasure hunts. That early curiosity turned into a lifelong calling. Over the years, I’ve built Golden Sun Auctions into a trusted name, helping thousands of families navigate the sometimes emotional process of parting with heirlooms, downsizing estates, or simply discovering the value of what they already own.
